Primer Design Wizard
Follow the 3 steps below to design primers for a variant.
- Step 1: Enter the official HGNC gene symbol (e.g.
BRCA1) and search. - Step 2: Select the relevant transcript and enter the HGVS variant (e.g.
c.5266dupC). Fetch the sequence and inspect it. - Step 3: Choose the desired primer type and click "Design Primers" to run Primer3.
- Select a Primer Pair from the results table to visualize it on the sequence and trigger in-silico PCR validation.
- Download a PDF report of the selected primer pair.
Step 1: Gene Search
Enter a gene symbol to fetch available transcripts.
Larger windows help outer-primer placement but do not relax primer-quality filters.
